Yes, yoga can be a great way to support your body and mind during pregnancy. However, we recommend the following:
If you are new to yoga, it’s best to wait until your second trimester before starting a practice.
If you already have a regular yoga practice, you may continue with modifications, but always listen to your body and avoid overexertion.
Let your teacher know that you are pregnant before class so they can offer appropriate modifications.
Avoid deep twists, strong backbends, core-focused exercises, and lying on your belly after the first trimester.
Rest whenever needed and stay well-hydrated.
At the moment, we do not offer dedicated prenatal yoga classes, but many of our gentle and restorative sessions can be suitable with modifications. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance!
